Budapest 2013

An obvious good choice for the end of my second year of University and the start of what feels like the last summer holidays I will ever have was, in my eyes, to go abroad. It had been almost 2 years since I hopped on a plane last (and last was for a drunken week in Faliraki - not exactly a cultural wonder) So this year I opted for a city break with the Boyfriend. We discussed Italy, Prague and even France cities but we settled for Budapest, Hungary. Budapest itself is a beautiful city, the buildings and bridges that line the river are stunning and although we were staying in the centre of the city it was one of the most peaceful places I have ever stayed. The streets were filled with locals and tourists during the day, but never were the amount of people or the noise being made unbearable, in fact it was rather pleasant.

Although I had fun and it was lovely spending my Boyfriend's birthday in the Budapest zoo and having dinner by the lake I think I have had my Hungarian fun for the year. I would recommend a visit, see the sights and the beautiful city, however the short period of time that we spent there was definitely long enough and it does feel good to be home. Now time to start my summer in Brighton.
