Halloween
Halloween is usually my most favourite time of year, I love everything about it. All the food and the sweets, the colours and decorations and of course dressing up! This year I decided to go for a day of the dead Mexican sugar skull – I was rather pleased with my efforts and I got quite a lot of attention. One of my housemates and I were going to make a vegetable pie, but due to a small pastry disaster (it had gone mouldy) we shifted our culinary expertise to vegetable lasagne and homemade garlic bread, which was crazy good, if I do say so myself! We then made chocolate and orange favoured Halloween style cupcakes which I was rather pleased with – especially with how tasty the butter icing turned out. There was no way that me and my housemates were not going to hit the town last night, B-Town was covered in fake blood and cobwebs last night – everyone made the effort!! It was a fab night and I can’t wait until next Halloween already!
