HAPPY FATHERS DAY! To every dad out there opening cards and unwrapping mugs and socks worldwide…this post goes out to you. Mother’s day and Father’s day tend to be quite a family occasion in my family that is anyway. As well as birthdays and Christmas and then special occasions (like me going to university) the family will get together at somebody’s house for a meal. Well this Father’s day is slightly different, whether the mothers and fathers couldn’t decide whose turn it was to host a meal, or they just fancied a change…we have ended eating out. Not Sunday carvery style either - Chinese buffet style BOOM!
I love Chinese food, I actually think it may be my favourite of all take aways. I nearly said all food then but I quickly remembered how much I love (and it isn’t even a joke) loooovvveeee pizza. Like to the moon and back, and I am also a big fan of Mexican food…but anyway Chinese buffet, all you can eat, although I never eat more than two platefuls - and they are never full plates anyway because I wouldn’t be able to eat two. But they have so much on offer at this place it was a real nice day out.
I ended up wearing some of my H&M bargain wear (damnit that shop is great in a sale). I had on this beautiful teal skirt with a cream blouse, it was thin and airy, which was nice in the heat, but the skirt ended up being a bad choice especially as it was ridiculously windy today!
The title of this post was inspired by the song ‘Lovecats - The Cure’ who I am not only going to see in August at Reading Festival (very excited about) but me and a couple of friends from university muck about with instruments together and have decided to give lovecats a go. We call ourselves ‘Amino Acids’ because some of my flat mates and friends at university study Biological Sciences and they came up with the name - riveting I know.
P.S Apologies for the first image, I know it is blurry, but I thought it looked quite arty so I kept it in
